More sand, water, and fun with family!!!

As our final camping trip of the year we went to Yuba Lake with Greg's family. Ryan has a boat and we had a great time on the tube and wake boarding. We camped right on the beach which was kind of a stress for me with all the sand and NEVER getting out of it. The kids were covered in a layer of sand the entire weekend but they LOVED it! I just had to really learn to not be bothered by it and I had a great time! Its not the luxurious camping like bear lake with showers and grass and trees. But it is fun to wake up right next to the water and hear the crashing waves at night.

Tyler and Holly came down for a few hours on Saturday. Poor little Lily was squished in her life jacket but she fell asleep and slept almost the entire time we were on the boat. Holly had never been on a boat before and she was a little nervous but she was so brave and actually got out on the tube. Ella didn't want to do the tube either but loved when we got her out there.

Greg, Ryan, Lolly and Papa all went crawdad fishing and caught 6 of them. Greg caught 4 of them!! We steamed them up and ate them, they tasted just like crab. Greg has been wanting to catch crawdads for such a long time it was fun for him to finally do it! The girls thought they were cute and I was surprised that they actually tasted it and liked it.

EWEE!! Crawdads look like little lobster babies. Gross Jami! What, did Greg want... to take one home as a pet? Are those dead or cooked? Lobsters turn red once they are cooked and I am not sure if crawdads are that color?
Looks like you guys are having a sweet fun summer! Love seeing your blog.

Andrea- The picture of them on the plate- they are cooked- and they were YUMMY just like little lobsters. Oh yeah that's right you don't like lobster even though you live in Maine!!! Crazy Girl!!

You need to adopt me into your family! =) I want to go camping as often as you guys do! I wish my parents would ever go out on their boat. What's the point of having one if you are never going to use it??? =) It looks like you guys had a great time!

Jami. Michael is loving his job after the first week, he knows there is a lot to learn still, but he knows he will like it, once he gets up to speed. Alpine Access hasn't worked out because they don't have a local number, so I am actually going to a local temp agency to see if they can help me find a job in the fields I want. Maybe once we move further south, I may be able to do Alpine Access then. Ü ♥ya

Sorry Andrea-I'm with Jamie, we loved to go crawdad fishing when we were in Utah. Yummy. Jamie- we live about 5 hours from Nauvoo, so the drive wasn't to bad.

Jam ... I am going crazy. When you upload small size pics and put them side by side, do you have to do anything special to get them to stay that way or does it just do it? I am trying to figure out if it's my margins or what, but I can't get photos side by side no matter what I do!
