We had so much fun backpacking this weekend up to Weir Lake in the High Uintahs. Its a 5 mile round trip hike that is the most beautiful place! Tons of lakes, fun trails, and very green. Our packs were VERY heavy and I thought I might die but we finally made it to our campsite. We set up camp and played at the lake for awhile with Hunter. Then we had fun just hanging out by the fire till it was so dark and I couldnt see my fingers in front of my face. It was so quiet at night I couldnt hear ANYTHING- which was kindof freaky! I was worried about bears and moose wondering into our camp but I knew Hunter would hear anything and warn us. So as long as he was quiet I knew we were OK. Today we just hiked to a few other lakes in the area and then hiked out. I love camping like this... far away from civilization or other people. Nothing around but nature, as long as the bears don't bother me!!!

My cute boy!!! Hunter loved this trip more than Greg and I. I don't know if you can see how dirty he is by this picture but WOW- he knows how to get messy!

I am glad you made it back! Greg with a gun = SCARY! =) What kind of camera do you guys have? You always have the best pictures!
Maren- we are always looking for people who would want to come with us!! We go every year- think about it ITS FUN!!!
London- yes.. no kids- they would have never made it. I would love to take them when they get older but they have to be able to carry in their own stuff- It'll be a while!
Jen- yes isn't Hunter amazing!! Who said an old dog can't learn new tricks! ha ha
Amie- Greg was scary with his "gun" it is actually a beebee(sp?) gun and he was trying to shoot everything!
Our camera is a Cannon S5- although for this trip I didnt want to carry my huge camera so I used my moms little Olympus 3.2mp camera- Takes pretty good pictures though for being so small.
Welcome back. I am glad you guys made it home safely. So was it just you and Greg? Hunter does look like he had fun, but Mom told me he was POOPED by the time you all got home, he couldn't even make his first attempt of jumping into the truck to leave... poor little puppy!
