More Halloween Fun

Last Saturday Greg's parents had a Halloween Party at their neighborhood. They live in a great little gated community with people of their own age (is that politically correct?)- Anyways instead of opening the neighborhood on Halloween night they let all the residents Grand kids come and trick-or-treat and play games. The kids loved it and especially loved being with their cousins! Brielle decided to be a Butterfly Princess at the last minute, good thing we have lots of dressups!

Monday night we had a really fun night at home with just us and the kids. We had a "quick" lesson for FHE and then ate yummy pumpkin pizza and carved/painted pumpkins. The kids had a lot of fun but noone had as much fun as Greg! He really gets into the pumpkin carving.

I'm a sucker for give-a-ways

Check our this blog I found surfing that is doing a give-a-way. I love cute bows and ribbons for my girls hair but I have not figured out how to make them yet (its not that I haven't tried!)

Party Day

Yesterday was a PArTy Day!!! Brielle had a fun birthday party in the morning that she got to go dressed as a princess. She loved it. Happy Birthday Makenna!

Then we had our annual Halloween Party for some of the kids in our neighborhood. I am so GRATEFUL that Jen offered to host it at her house this yea r.We had a great turnout and the kids really had fun.

The kids picked out their own costumes this year. Brielle really wanted to be a witch and Katie is Princess Liana from Barbie and the Diamond Castle.

Then we had our ward trunk-or-treat at the church. I think Brielle was shocked that people were just handing out candy! She LOVED it!

I'm finally ready to admit....

That FALL is here! I know it is Oct 23rd... but I have been in denial for a while. With the recent cold weather though I guess its time to come to terms with it!
We do LOVE the fall though and there is always fun things to do for the kids. Especially around Halloween which is one of my favorite holidays! Here are some things we have done so far...
Went to Cornbelly's with some of our friends!
and FINALLY got to meet Missy's adorable kids!

Jumped on a big pillow!

Almost broke our tailbones on the BuMPiESt Hayride EVER!
Poor Grandma, she's such a good sport!

Met the Pumpkin Princess!

Yeah!!!!

Today my neighbor up the road on the other side about 2 houses, knocks on my door and says she is selling credit cards and when I look at her she is holding my WALLET!!! Yes you got it... my stolen wallet was tossed in her bushes and she found it going to get her mail today! I gave her a huge hug probably scared her half to death. Everything was still there, just pulled out except my $4!
I couldn't be happier and relieved to have it back in my possession and to know that someone is not out there stealing my identity! It was probably just some kids wanting some quick cash... my question is why didnt they just toss the wallet back in my yard??? Oh well I have it back and I'm HAPPY!!!

*%##?!**$*%@!!!!!

So Wednesday night sometime or Thursday morning somebody broke into Greg's truck and stole my wallet! I know I know... I should never leave my purse in the car but sometimes its hard to remember to grab all that stuff when you've got your hands full of kids, groceries, shoes, etc....
I had also left the window down just a teeny tiny bit (2nd mistake!). So allthough the doors were securely locked, they used this device made from I think a BBQ tong to unlock the doors. They dumped my purse contents all over the seat ( i know I need to clean my purse out more often!) and took the wallet with an entire wopping $4 inside!
I spent all day yesterday cancelling my credit cards, checking acct, putting notices on my credit bureau etc... Now I have to get a new Drivers License.

Crappy is all I have to say!!! But I have been trying to look at the positives. At least nothing else was broken or stolen from Greg's truck. They didnt actually take my purse (which is the 1st purse I've owned in a LONG time and I really like it!). There wasn't more cash in the purse because we just got back from vacation and I usually carry more cash. I was able to cancel everything before any activity had happened!

Fall Harvest

Greg really wanted to plant grapes and so last fall he planted some. I was really suprised at how fast and big the plant grew this year and on Tuesday I picked about 4 huge heaping bowls full of grapes. I decided to make grape juice and it was really a LOT easier than I thought it would be. Katie helped me pick the grapes and take them off the vine (which took the longest!). Then it was just fun squooshing and squeezing them.
The juice is yummy but only made about a gallon worth.

Pwaygwoup

Monday we had playgroup at our house. Brielle was soooo excited to have her friends over and she has some really cute friends! It was pretty crazy having 6 2year old's at my house all by myself mostly just when all of them had to go potty and we still only have 1 working bathroom!
But it all worked out and we had lots of fun!

Hola!

I don't know where Katie would be learning Spanish words other than from Dora and Handy Mandy. But her favorite thing to say lately is "That's a Spanish word!" Although its usually just a word she doesn't know or understand.

Conversation at dinner:

Katie: What is this we are having for dinner mom?
me: its fajitas
Katie: Oh- fajitas is a spanish word that means Taco!
me: actually fajitas and taco are both Spanish words
Katie: I know... taco is Spanish for quesadilla!

What happens in Vegas...

We had so much fun this weekend in Vegas for Greg's Birthday. HaPPy BiRThdAY!
Thursday we drove to St George and stayed with Greg's brother Ryan- the girls LOVE his dog Aly and follow her around everywhere!

Friday we drove into Vegas and had dinner at Greg's favorite wing place.
Saturday we went to the VW bug show and they had it at this awesome new shopping center so instead of just sitting around while Greg looks at every bug like a million times. Cherese and I did some shopping- it was GREAT!!! They also had this really cute park for kids in the middle of the shopping center that the kids really liked. So it was a fun day for EvErYOne!
Cherese and the girls

My favorite car, a Karmann Ghia- as soon as Greg is done restoring his bug he said he will buy me one of these! So maybe when the girls are driving? ha ha

HaPPy BiRThdAY DaDDy!

Greg's bug when it is done will be painted just like this bug. Always the Orange!

Fun at Brent and Cherese's. I'm sure Cherese was tired of reading to my kids after this weekend but they LOVE it! Thanks Cherese. They also really like walking in her high heels- something they probably had never seen before because I would hurt myself!

My Birthday

Thanks to everyone for the nice calls and notes on my Birthday. I can't believe that I am 32! Just a week or so ago we were talking to a friend of mine whose birthday was last week and she was turning 31 and I was convinced I was too! I told her that we were the same age... And then my sweet husband and friend Jen kindly reminded me that I am not turning 31 I am actually 32!!! How did I loose year in there somewhere? Well I don't feel old for too long because Greg turns 35 on Saturday!!! Love ya!!! It was a fun birthday. The girls had school/playgroup and then they played at Ella's house (thanks Holly!) I was able to do some shopping, by myself! Wow! I couldnt believe how relaxing it was. Shopping has become one of my least favorite things since having kids.
Then we went to dinner at Mikado's with my mom and Grandma, Greg's parents, and Marty- Thanks for coming!

Brielle had playgroup on Monday and I finally remembered to bring my camera. She LOVES playgroup. She loves all her friends and I think she is just so happy to have something of her own that Katie doesn't get to do.

Remodel update:
Greg spent all day Saturday trying to get the bathroom done... he stayed up until after midnight tiling the shower walls and it looks AWESOME! Here is a picture of the tile, it still needs to be grouted and sealed but its coming along!

Greg's Birthday is Saturday so we are off to Vegas tomorrow! We go every year so that Greg can go to the VW Bug show for his Birthday. We love Brent and Cherese and love to see them too! See ya when get back
