You should see me when I stand up

Yesterday we were at the grocery store and a lady in front of us in line asked how old Katie was (she was the only one with me) so I told her 5.
She said "wow, she is so little!" (typical, since Katie is the size of most 3 year olds)....
So Katie said "I'm really small when I'm sitting down
but you should see me when I stand up, I'm really tall!"

Game Night

Greg and I are now the activities chairs in our ward and last night was our first activity. We had a game night were we divided in groups and played games at different houses. It was a lot of fun. I hope everyone enjoyed it.

I DON'T LIKE IT!!!!!!!!

Lately Brielle does not want to eat anything! She used to be my good eater but I think her and Katie made a plan that as soon as Katie started eating OK then Brielle would refuse all food! Every meal she just cries and cries saying she hates the food and doesnt want it. I hope this won't last forever. I was so excited to have a kid who liked to EAT!

Spring Fling

The weather was so nice on Friday that my mom and I took the girls up to Copperton Park for a picnic. I love that park, its so cute and the girls love the swings. I didnt realize my camera was on black/white but o-well!

Update on Katie

Yesterday morning Katie said that her ear hurt so I called the Dr and made an appointment. The first appointment they had was 4:30 so all day I kept asking her if her ear hurt and she would say "no" and she was playing and was feeling much better. So I canceled the DR appt and we decided to go out to dinner with some friends and as we were leaving she started saying her ear hurt again. But then quickly said "no, I'm OK" so we made sure she was OK and headed to dinner. As soon as we got in the car after eating she starting crying and complaining about her ear and of course this is 8:00- right when the DR's office closes! So we take her home and put her to bed but she's up every hour last night crying that her ear really hurts. So first thing this morning we took her to the Dr and she has a burst eardrum!! Poor little girl. He also said that her rash is a staff infection.. I have no idea how she got that but now she's on 3 different pills/creams and hopefully will feel better soon!!!

Poor Little Katie

Katie has been sick and running a high fever for about 3 days. Then yesterday she got this rash all over her face. I called the doctor and they said it is most likely a rash caused by a virus. Poor thing! She has been so sad... but is starting to feel much better today. I can't wait to get my happy little girl back!

When the snow melts there is 2 things that are inevitable... the flowers start to sprout and grow YEAH!!!

and the dog poop that has been covered by snow all winter, must be picked up!!! YUCK!

I can't believe how much there was... between Hunter and the Bunny it filled two garbage sacks full! Sorry I know that's disgusting

The last 2 days the girls have both been sick. I have felt so bad for them but it has been good for me because I have gotten a TON done. I cleaned up the yard, including taking down my Christmas lights FINALLY!!! And today I hung up some artwork on my walls which we haven't really done since repainting almost 5 months ago now.
Both girls taking naps is so rare but the last 2 days they have both taken naps...
oh the good old days!!!

Burb Blog Book

Last week I saw that Jen had gotten her book and I loved it, it was so cute. I decided to make one of our own and as usual when I get a project I like I become completely obsessed. It took me about a week of working on it non-stop. Sorry Girls!! But it came the other day and I am so excited about it. My favorite is just watching the girls look at it.

Brrrr.....Snow

They asked. I ignored.

They persisted. I resisted.
They pleaded. I conceded.

Ever since it snowed a little bit last week Katie has been begging to build a snowman and play in the snow. I told her last week that if there was still snow when she got home from preschool we would go out but LUCKILY the snow was mostly gone (I don't really enjoy the cold, Greg usually plays with them in the snow and they could stay out there forever, I always have the hot chocolate ready... that's my job).
She was so sad and was determined to convince me that we could build a snowman with the little bit of snow that was still against our back fence but I had to explain that it would really be considered a "poop" snowman because we haven't been picking up Hunter's poop all winter... ya pretty DISGUSTING!!!!

So Tuesday it snowed again! Katie was so happy (I not so much) But I decided to quit being such a boring mom and play with my kids. We really had fun and surprisingly it wasn't too cold.

I really need to find some actual gloves for my kids next year. Mittens just gather the snow until they have big snowballs for hands.

We can't wait for spring so we can be outside a lot more and ride our bikes, but we thought why not today?

Brielle has gotten so good on her scooter since getting it for Christmas. Most the time she practices in the house, I'm really impressed at how coordinated she is!

I don't think Hunter would make a very good Hunting dog. I wouldn't say he loves the bunny but they do hang out together usually begging for food at the back door.

Texas

I was so lucky to get to go to Texas this last weekend with my mom. We went to see my sister for her birthday. Happy Birthday Amy!!! We had the best time. Just sightseeing and visiting some cool places. The weather was GREAT the first day, like 85.. but then a cold front moved in, I can't really complain it was still about 60- It was snowing here so its OK. Amy lives in a really cool city close to Houston and Galveston. We were able to see some of the Hurricane Ike devastation, lots of places are still just boarded up and lots of debris everywhere. So many people still have blue tarps on their roofs and its been 5 months since it happened.

River Walk in San Antonio. This place is so pretty. Its basically right by the Alamo and its just this really cool place with shops and restaurants. We got to take a boat ride down the river everything. This day it was like 85 so it was so nice.

NASA space center. "Houston we have a problem!". It was really neat to see the actual space control center where all of the US spacecraft is monitored.
