Share the Warmth

This year my friend Maren and I worked on the Sub-for-Santa program for the Copper Canyon PTA. What a rewarding experience to be a part of. The school students, faculty, and parents were so generous in their donations!!! We collected hats, gloves, scarves, and coats for local homeless shelters and then also collected money for the "Bridge of Love Foundation" that takes care of abandoned children in Romania (a charity that Maren's parents started after serving a mission there and adopting one of the children themselves).
I was so glad that Katie and Brielle could go with me to drop of the clothing items and we had a great conversation about how important it is to share our wealth with others who don't have as much. I hope all the kids at the school learned something about being charitable. I know that many, many, many children will benefit from it!!!

Preschool Nativity

I took this picture of my friend Maren's blog. I thought it was so cute and wanted to share. I have been doing a co-op preschool this year with some mom's in the neighborhood and I LOVE it. I LOVE that Brielle gets to experience all sorts of teaching styles and gets to be with a fun group of kids. Thanks Maren for teaching the kids the "true" meaning of Christmas and letting them participate in the cute Nativity.

Dreaming of a white Christmas

I was dreaming of a White Christmas so we went up to my Dad's house for a little continuation of our Christmas Celebration. He has such a fun place to stay at. The girls loved riding in the snow cat and the snowmobiles. Greg had the funnest of all, sledding down the roads and then we would pick him up on the snowmobile and haul him back up the top. Thanks for having us Dad and Linda, we truly enjoyed it and will be back soon!!!!

Christmas 2009

Leaving milk and cookies for Santa and the house after Santa came!
The girls each got a baby alive and a baby care center to share from Santa. Notice that the babies are wearing matching outfits to the girls jammies and pillow cases!!! They have had so much fun changing diapers and feeding and caring for their babies.
My Mom, Amy&Michael, and Grandma got the girsl Zhu Zhu pets with pretty much all the accessories. They LOVED them and have played with them a TON!! Thanks guys!We went to The Jones' for dinner and exchanged gifts. Ryan and Lolly had us and Ryan gave Greg a bag full of boy toys. Here he is in his pirate gear... pretty silly!

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve at my cousin Shari's house. All the cousins made it including Amy and Jenny made a surprise enterance that made the entire house go CRAZY!! It was fun to have all my Grandma's great=grandkids there.

Shari put together a cute program with the kids. My girls were angels and they did a GREAT job. The program was the traditional nativity story and then we read the store of Christ's birth from the Book of Mormon. It was very spiritual and fun to watch the kids!

The stockings were hung...

Last year I made stockings for our family but Hunter didnt get one. This year I finally made his and now our family is complete! I think it turned out pretty cute, especially since I didnt have a pattern for a Christmas Doggie and had to make it up on my own!
I know you are all impressed....eat your heart out Holly! (If you don't know Holly, she is my ultra talented Sis-in-law.... I only wish I could have a portion of her creativity!)

Can I eat this?

Last night we decorated our Gingerbread House that I bought about a month ago and we just haven't had time to do it. I'm sortof glad that there are only 2 days till Christmas, because even in the last 12 hours (10 of which Brielle was asleep) she has asked me probably 100 times, "Can I eat this?". She is a little obsesseed with candy!

All Aboard!

Monday was Katie's Polar Express class party. I LOVE being the room mom so that I am always there for all the fun parties! The kids were so cute all dressed in their pajamas.

Temple Square

After the Classic we went back to my Mom's for a yummy dinner with everyone and then went to Temple Square to see the lights. It was pretty cold and foggy but we still enjoyed it. The fog actually made the lights look pretty!

Classic

Today we got together with the Brownings for some Christmas fun. Well actually the day started much earlier for us because we went up to my Mom's to help her with the tile in her basement for the 2nd Saturday in a row. Greg has been working very hard to try and get it done for when my Sister comes into town this week. He got all of the shower finished today but still has the floor to do. Then we met Alan's family at the Classic Skating rink. Brielle is a maniac on her scooter. She was going as fast as possible and had no regard for others around her. I was afraid to watch her and she LOVED the loud music and lights.
Katie would much rather sit and hold Oakley for the entire time. She only went around the rink once that I saw. But she had fun!
Brielle got in trouble because she had an "accident" in her pants (when is this going to stop???) So she was told she had to sit out and not use her scooter. This is the look I got! That little stinker! Just a side note too.. she's sitting just like I always did when I was little in this picture. I don't know many people that have legs that bend like this, but it was so comfortable for me to sit like this when I was little and truth be told I think I can still do it although my knees start to hurt after a minute =)
We also played in the bounce area for a while. We really had a fun time!

Piano Recital

Katie had her piano recital tonight. She did really well, we are so proud of her! I hope she will continue to enjoy developing her talents *and that we can keep affording it! =)
I really like the Harmony Road program, Katie has learned a lot about music and enjoys singing and playing piano.

Christmas Memories Dance Recital

Tonight was the girls recital for C&C Ballet. They both did so GREAT! I'm so proud of them both and I think they are the cutest darn girls EVER!!!

These pictures makes me laugh and I wanted to post them even though they turned out kind of blurry. This shows the personality of the girls to a tea!
