Its a ...........

We had our ultrasound at 18 weeks. We decided to bring the girls with us so they could "see" the baby and find out, when we did, if its a boy or girl. They were HOPING for a girl!
First thing, the baby is looking GREAT, everything is where it should be, 10 fingers, 10 toes, 2 arms, 2 legs... heart, brain, stomach everything looks good! Phew... what a relief!

And the girls are happy because they are getting a new...

BABY SISTER

We love girls, and we make cute ones so I couldn't be happier! YAY for Girls!
Poor Greg is going to be even more out numbered, but I don't think he minds. He LOVES his girls and they think he is the GREATEST!

(as soon as I figure out how to scan on my printer,
I will post some pics of the ultrasound. She is adorable!!)

best FHE ever!

Greg meets a lot of really nice people with his job. Recently he met with a couple that invited us back to their house for an FHE. I have to admit that I thought it was a little strange that they invited a complete stranger and his family to their house but it was actually very cool! This man has put a huge organ in his home with a lot of pipes (1700) and he played it for us. It was actually very fun and educational. All of the pipes are used and collected from old churches, some even came from the tabernacle. He could make the sounds of almost any instrument you can think of. He even let the kids play some songs, the kids absolutely LOVED it!! In fact, Katie said it was the best FHE ever!! I guess we need to find more fun things to do :)
One entire room holds the organ and some of the pipes. I think it must have been a family room at one time.
The dining room was converted into a room that houses the rest of the pipes. He has even built baffles between to the two rooms so he can control the amount of sound. He took the girls back in the room with the pipes and let them blow into some of them. They LOVED it!
This picture shows the baffles and that is Katie and Merv in the room with the pipes.

Happy Leprechaun's Day

We had a really fun Leprechaun's Day at our house. Those silly Leprechaun's played some tricks on us. They made the girls beds upside down and left some treats. They died our milk green, and our toilet water green.

Brielle was convinced she could catch one, so she had cups placed upside down all over the house and would check them every few minutes. Sometimes there were candies under there or notes saying "ha ha can't catch me!!"

We had a lot of fun! I decided to try and make this fun rainbow jello I found on the funky polka-dot giraffe blog.... it was easy but very time consuming as you have to let each layer harden before adding the next. I think overall it took about 2 hours but the kids loved it.

Chicken Piccata

I made the best recipe for Lemon Chicken Picatta, thought I would share. It was so YUMMY!!!
Just looking at this picture is making my mouth water.... I might have to make it again really soon!
The only alteration I made to the recipe on Allrecipes is that I added some sun-dried tomatoes... I thought it was really good that way. I also served it over angel hair pasta with some butter and garlic salt.

for you Brielle...

Brielle LOVES taking pictures. She asks me several times a day to borrow my camera, which I usually tell her NO! (only becuase I just got a new one) But, the other day I wasn't feeling like a fight so I let her take some pictures. She decided to take some pictures of her new kitty and she has asked me every day if I have blogged those pictures yet so HERE YOU GO!

I love that girl, she doesnt forget anything :)

Happy Birthday Dr Suess!

This is not the greatest picture, but we decided to have "Green Eggs and Ham" for dinner to celebrate Dr Suess Birthday. I didnt want to just use food coloring so I made this yummy spinach quiche with tomatillo salsa... it tasted much better than it looks!

Making the best of it...

When spring refuses to come :( I guess you just make the best of winter!

I don't think I will ever park in the garage again :(

Greg has adopted a 1958 Hydro Swift that was owned by my Great-Grandpa (I think he bought it brand new). Its in pretty good shape but might need some work to be "sea worthy". Should be a fun project for him to work on and maybe we'll take it out and have some fun on it this summer.
