By small and simple things... Great things are brought to pass

I LOVE Womens Conference. I look forward to it every year and this year did not dissapoint. The classes and speakers are awesome but my most favorite part is getting to be with GREAT women. I have some of the best friends and a fabulous mother-in-law. I'm truly blessed.

This year the theme was "By small and simple things, great things are brought to pass". I think we all need a reminder sometimes to just slow down, enjoy the moments, and focus on the little things that add up to the GREAT things in life that we strive for.

Saturday morning was our ward Easter Egg Hunt- it was even more fun this year because I wasn't in charge :) and there wasn't snow covering the ground!
Katie even found 1 of 3 golden eggs and she won a big chocolate bunny

My cousin Emilie was sealed to her husband Brian (and baby Penelope due in July) on Saturday afternoon. It was pretty cold but the flowers were gorgeous! After we decided to take a tour of the conference center roof. I had never been up there, its pretty neat to have a huge park on the top of a building.

recent happenings

Katie was part of her school's play "Pirates of Penzance" the choir sang a few numbers and had the sound system been working properly I would have recorded something- but as it was you couldnt have heard a thing :)

We were looking for something fun to do during spring break so we decided to have some friends over to decorate easter eggs... fun times!

I'm officially a soccer mom!!!

A group of kids in my neighborhood formed a soccer team and I got to have my very first child in a sporting event!! Brielle was excited to play and she did GREAT, considering that this morning she was unaware that you had to actually KICK a soccer ball, not throw it into the net.
She ran around the field and even kicked the ball a few times. Our team "the little Kickers" won!!
Way to go TEAM!!!
There is absolutely nothing more entertaining then watching 4-5 year olds run around trying to chase after the soccer ball. There were many points scored for apposing teams and lots of crashes and trips but the kids all seemed to enjoy themselves.
Brielle is ready and excited for the next game on Saturday.

Animal Report

Katie did her 1st grade animal report on Koala's.

She learned fun facts about them, such as...

1) They have pouches for their babies, just like kangaroos

2) They are not actually a bear at all

3) Their babies are called a joey

She also learned some really big words like : Marsupial, and eucalyptus

She made this cute mask and pouch with a baby "joey" in it. And of course Brielle wanted to make one too :)

hump day

I am officially half way through this pregnancy. Just 20 more weeks to go!
I have gained 15 pounds (roughly) and I feel pretty good :)
I have been trying to exercise as much as possible (about 4-5 days/week) . I usually do about 30 minutes on the elliptical and then I do stretches and some weights for another 20-30 minutes.
I am really trying to eat healthy but I feel like I am eating CONSTANTLY! No weird cravings yet, but I do crave salty foods (nothing new there!)

I do feel like I am a LOT more spacey and forgetful than usual. I need to stop blaming everything on being pregnant but I do think there is some truth to it! I don't know why it is that you have to get dumber with each child :)

I can feel her moving a lot more, and she especially likes kicking me in the bladder. Greg has been able to feel her moving some and the kids say that they can feel her but they really aren't patient enough I'm not sure if they really have or not?

Brielle is so cute, she will just come running over to me and hug my belly several times a day. I always thought Katie was my baby lover but Brielle is so excited about this baby! She is so helpful with the little girls I watch each week, I think she is going to be a HUGE help with her little sister. I feel bad that Katie is at school all day, I'm sure she would much rather be home with us but she is doing so well in school, I know she is having fun there too.

I'm not really looking forward to the heat and being in my last months of pregnancy this summer but I can't wait for the kids to be done with school so we can just relax and play. Hopefully I won't be too uncomfortable and we can enjoy the summer :)

St. George getaway

Day 3: Monday- the drive home and getting FRIED at the park. We decided to head to the park and enjoy the great weather for a while before heading home. A nice breeze was blowing and the sun was shining but it wasn't too hot. I totally forgot to put sunscreen on :( and what started out just being a quick stop at the park turned into 4 hours!! Needless to say I look similar to a lobster!! OUCH! It always takes one time every year to make me learn my lesson, I will start carrying sunscreen with me everywhere :)

Day 2: Sunday, watching conference and hiking the DIXIE... weather wasn't as good but it was still warm enough to spend time outside.

Hiking at the Dixie is always the kids favorite thing to do. The LOVE the narrow path between the rocks and I don't know if you can tell in the picture of me but I DID NOT make it!!! My ever growing belly prevented me from squeezing through the tight rock so I had to turn around :(

Beautiful St George sunset

Day one: Perfect Day for the splash park (87degrees)
