Fun with the Jones cousins

We spent the day at City Creek and the temple with Tyler and Holly and their girls.

We went to a drive-in movie theater to see Brave
We have been spending lots of time at 7 peaks with Julie and the kids. On 7/11 we stopped at 2 7-eleven's on the way home and got free slurpies!

Look who's walking

:)

Jessie is getting so funny and cute!  She cracks us up and her laugh is so infectious.
I was finally able to actually get a tiny little ponytail in her hair! She is the thinnest hair in front and its getting so long in back. She is sporting quite the mullet. LOL
Here is the top view ... it lasted about 15 minutes and she YANKED it out! Little stink

My garden is awesome this year. Especially my berries. We are getting TONS of blackberries. Even though I curse that horrible plant. Its thorns are so mean and it grows like crazy! But boy oh boy I LOVE the taste of them- YUMMY! We love to go outside in the morning first thing and fill our bowls with berries to put on our cereal.  I picked my first tomato of the season- can't wait for those to produce more!

7 peaks

We were so lucky to find an amazing price for the Pass of All Passes a couple of months ago, and we have been trying to take full advantage of our season passes to 7 Peaks. The kids love going with their cousins and its nice to have my sister in law there to watch the baby while I actually get to go on some slides. We have really been enjoying our summer! 6 more weeks of fun to come!

Ella's Baptism

We were so excited to attend Ella's baptism on Saturday. The girls looked so cute in their white dresses together. I'm so glad they have both chosen to be baptized.
The Jones girls- so crazy that a family of all boys has produced so many girls!

Cherese and "little chef" Katie made the most delicious chocolate cake. Katie LOVES helping Cherese- they make a great team.

Happy 4th of July

Best Buddies at the parade- We got up early and went to breakfast in Copperton, then to the parade in WJ. It was so HOT

Then we went swimming at the Jones' to cool off.

Breanna turned 10- Sharing a birthday with America is pretty cool!
Then we went to Sandy for a GREAT firework show! Although Jessica could not have cared less about the fireworks. She just wanted to crawl around and pet the doggie by us. At least they didnt scare her.

Surprise!

Its only been 6 weeks since the Paris' moved but we have missed them LOTS! Katie and Addison especially have- although thank goodness for cell phones, and skype! So when they decided last minute (literally the day before) to come out for the week of the 4th we thought it would be fun to surprise Katie. She had been bugging me for over an hour to call and talk to Addison and I knew they were on their way so I kept stalling her. LOL the video is so cute - Together again!

making memories

Some of my favorite childhood memories happened camping. We spent a LOT of our summer weekends at the Spruces Campground in Big Cottonwood canyon, I think we may have camped in every spot there growing up.  So this weekend we went camping with our friends the Chatelains to the Spruces.  It is just as awesome and fun as I remember!  We spent lots of time around the campfire, singing songs, roasting marshmallows (and starbursts- try it!), and telling stories.

We took a few day excursions to different hiking spots in the canyon. Donut Falls is always a favorite.  Jessie enjoyed the backpack and even fell asleep for a while (I'm sure Greg enjoyed that)
Oh ya- I was on this vacation! Do you ever wonder if your children will question if you were ever around because you are in hardly any pictures? Well here is proof!

hike #2: Wasatch Back
Greg and I had seen a trail head on the Guardsman's Pass several times and thought it would be fun to see where it lead to. I'm so glad we did- we found a beautiful lake.
