Coyote Pride

(Katie and Mrs Fullmer)

Katie received her Coyote Pride award today. In the 1st grade they have to be able to pass off certain requirements by the end of the year such as:
  • counting money
  • telling time
  • pointing out 5 continents on a map
  • 100% on at least 10 spelling tests
Katie did so GREAT this year and passed off nearly everything (there is about 20 things on the list)

Preschool Grad

Brielle is graduated from preschool! I can't believe it! Kindergarten here she comes :)
Emily did a really cute program, the kids sang songs they have learned and each some speaking parts. Brielle said that she learned her alphabet and about nursery rhymes this year and then got to recite Little Miss Muffet.
I thought this picture was cute because she kept crossing her legs and looking so grown up. It amazes me how fast she is growing up- my baby!!!

keeping busy...

We finally had a good sunny Saturday and we took FULL advantage! We worked in the yard almost all day and we got our garden planted. We also had a soccer game for Brielle and then we went to Sams Club after and bought a trampoline! The girls are so excited to finally have one and I'm thrilled that the girls will have something fun to do this summer while I'm inside in the nice air conditioned house :)

We planted lots of Tomatoes this year. There is nothing better than fresh ripe tomatoes from the garden. I still want to plant a few more things like zucchini and peppers but at least we got it started.

Katie's been apart of her school's choir this year. This great lady in our stake volunteers her time and puts it together. The kids have to get up early one day a week and be at school an hour early to practice and Katie hasn't complained once! She LOVES it. They had their last performance of this year and they sang some fun Broadway tunes. I tried to get some video but it didnt really work out so this was about the only picture I got because she would not look at us. She kept watching the kids behind her singing, it was pretty funny.

A few weeks ago Katie had a field trip planned to go to Red Butte Gardens but it was cancelled due to weather and was rescheduled for this last week to go to West Jordan City Park (blah!) Not only did that NOT sound as fun but then the weather was horrible that day too, cold and WET!! But we went anyway and the kids learned all about plants under the pavillion trying to stay dry and then we hopped back on the bus and went back to the school to eat our lunch instead of getting to play at the park. The highlight of the fieldtrip was definetly the bus ride. The entire fieldtrip could have just been driving around WJ on the bus and skipping the park all together :)

I have really been trying to teach the girls some new chores so that they can really be helpful over the summer and when the baby comes. They are so eager to learn and help and they actually LOVE cleaning bathrooms (how long will this last??)

Alice in Wonderland

Katie and Brielle were STARS in their production of Alice in Wonderland. They both received Oscars! They both remembered their lines, sang beautifully, and danced like champs!
It has been so much fun to perform with Ella and Addison.
What amazingly talented kids!
The first scene the girls were in was toy story (Alice's nursery when she was young). They were Aliens and got to say "THE CLAW!!" and grab the one eyed bandit Mr. Potato Head and pull him back. They also played tricks on Lotso Bear (squirted him with water, and gave him a worm in a can that pops out)
The next scene was the garden Scene when Alice comes to Wonderland. They were both flowers and had speaking parts and they did GREAT! They also got to sing at the microphone to "Walking on Sunshine"
Here is their entire class of "upswings"... they are so dang cute!
The final scene of the play is when Alice slays the Jaberwocky and the girls were part of the jaberwocky's body. They came out on stage looking all scary and fierce and then quickly were defeated by being offered yummy sweet tarts! YAY! The second picture is their final bow.
All of the kids in the play did an amazing job! It was so entertaining and fun to watch. I can't wait for them to perform Tangled next year.

My cute Katie-bug

Katie's school did their first annual "Run-For-Funds". This is my kind of fundraiser. Gets the kids active and the school gets 100% of donations. Katie did 6 laps- Way to GO!!!
I can't believe there are only 3 more weeks of school and then SUMMER!!!! YAY- can't wait!
Spring is FINALLY here! My tulips bloomed just last week and they are so pretty! The little girl in the picture is pretty cute herself :)

I love my husband....

thats all I can or should say for now... more about this later

catch up...

We've had a few things going on lately, not much but enough to keep us busy.
Our school did the annual "Moms and Muffins" breakfast. It was so much fun and I LOVE any time I can spend with my favorite little girls :) I am so lucky to be blessed with amazing kids!
Brielle's preschool had a field trip to Wheeler Farm. I can't believe that the school year is almost over. Time is just flying by, I would like it to slow down so that we can enjoy this summer and get some stuff done before this baby comes (I've done NOTHING!)

Brielle has made some cute friends this year, she is a social butterfly!
this last picture is of Brielle with her two little "boy friends" Brooks and Bridger. She talks about them constantly and she had to be right in between them on our hay ride and lunch. They are cute twin boys in her class. I need to watch out for this girl, she sure does love her boys!

I LOVE my husband. He is such a great Dad! We spent a fun afternoon at a park in Daybreak and I can always rely on him to play hard with the kids and get them nice and warn out for me :)

Skate Night at Classic Skating. Greg was such a sport and helped the girls around the rink and getting an amazing arm workout.
