No we aren't moving but my sweet husband decided that it would be fun to pretend like we are and fix up our house to sell. We love watching HGTV and love how they can make pretty small changes and the BIG difference it makes in their houses. There are so many unfinished projects in my house (if you remember my post a few months back that got me in big trouble!) And I haven't been able to get my dear husband to make any headway on them- that is until it was his idea! Imagine that!
So last week we started replacing all the baseboard/trim in our living room/hallway and painted. It has been a lot of work but we are almost done with this room and the plan is to move onto the bedroom next. Its crazy because our house is only 6 years old but there were always things we wished we had done differently in the design of it. So now we are changing some of those things so that we can be happy living for a long long time!
Katie is so cute - each morning she wakes up and wants to see what we've done while she's been asleep. The first morning we asked her if she liked what we had done and she said: "I LOVE it- you moved the TV closer to the couch so I can see it!" (we had to scoot the TV away from the wall to paint behind it). What a silly girl-now that it has been this way for a few days she might be very sad when the TV gets moved further away from the couch.
These are the only pics I have so far of the remodel but I will post some finished pictures- when we get it done!

good job on this post! :) It will be fun to see the "after" pictures! I'm impressed with how hard you guys are working.
oh, and PS I love the new design you picked for your blog...I thought it was different when I looked at it earlier today, and now it's different again (I think). It's very cute. I keep thinking I should have you change mine again, but then mine is sort of fall-ish so I may leave it a little longer...
I've been playing with my blog design all day- I picked a cute background but then realized that my cousin had the same one and I wanted something different so anyways if you visit very often you may have seen 3-4 different ones but I think I'll keep this one- I like it!
The house looks good! And I love the new background too! I really enjoy changing mine around too. Did you create the papers/ribbon, or upload them? Love it!
Great idea! That is a lot of work. I am impressed! Can't wait to see the end product.
Oh, there's just something about painting and changing things that is soooo exciting. I have this secret addiction to paint and if I walk by the paint isle at Wal-Mart it is all I can do to walk away without buying some!!! Good luck with your projects....i'm sure it will turn out great!
Love the paint color! I can't wait to see it in person.
I think it is super impressive you and Greg can work together on a home improvement project. Corey is such a perfectionist and us working together would be a nightmare! Good for you and Greg! I say couples that can work on home projects together, stay together! LOL =)
How exciting, I love home improvement projects & the smell of a newly painted room.
So ambitious!! I really need to do the exact same thing. i have been dying to replace my curtains for at least 6 months. You've inspired me!!
You guys are so ambitious. It looks really good. Love the color! I love to redo things, but the last time I painted (just the bathroom, too) I couldn't wait to finish and be done with it. Ali just painted her room bright green. Wow! But it was so cute in the end. I'll post some pics soon.
You guys are much more ambitioius than I am. I HATE painting. :)
