24th of July @ the cabin

Every year we spend the 24th of July at the Jones' cabin. We enjoy the fireworks in Charleston (near Heber). We spent time at the cabin with the cousins and had a lot of fun.

Days of 47 Rodeo

Did you know how they get the bulls and horses to buck? Well I learned... and it seems mean. But makes for a very entertaining day out with the family :)
Most exciting thing that happened was a guy getting bucked off his bull and the bull stepped on his leg and it broke (badly!) It was pretty gruesome to watch him trying to crawl out of the way with his leg dangling behind him :( I can't believe how crazy these guys are and the risks that they take. Again... makes for great entertainment!

Life is a bowl full of...

CHERRIES
My Mother-in-law's family has property in Orem that has several huge cherry trees. We LOVE going down and picking cherries. They are so yummy!!! Thanks Karma for inviting us down again this year :)

Happy 4th of July!

We had a fun 4th of July! We enjoyed a really nice firework show in Sandy with the Jones'. They always do such an amazing job!
We had a BBQ at Greg's parents and despite the cooler temps the kids couldnt resist getting in the pool. Karma was the only daring adult that got in (she is always so GREAT with the kids) but it did make me a little nervous that she had 6 little girls to watch out for herself... most of them can swim a "little".
We had planned to go to Copperton Park for their annual breakfast but we got a late start and missed it. So then we decided to go to Jim's on Redwood, totally forgetting about the WJ parade. I thought it would have been done earlier but we got there right as it was starting so we found some GREAT seats just right by the announcer guy and even had a place to sit down! We watched most the show and then went in to eat breakfast and watched the rest from inside.

33 weeks

I'm having kindof a rough day today... A few of my friends and family are having babies this week and I am feeling a bit jealous!!! Although I am nowhere near ready for this baby I wish that I was closer to my due date... 7 weeks just seems like a really really really long time :) Physically I am feeling pretty good, besides problems sleeping at night due to constant bathroom trips and just not being able to be comfortable. My great sis-in-law Cherese took me to get a pedicure yesterday and it was amazing!! I am definitely going to be going again before I have this baby. They had the cutest little chairs for little girls and I promised the girls I would take them to get a pedicure. They are soooo excited! I think the place was called 5 star nails and its on Redwood and about 10600 S- it was a really clean, nice salon.
I am really starting to feel the pressure of getting things ready. We are still working on the basement. Greg has finished the laminate flooring in the hallway and as soon as we paint the bedroom then we will be ready for carpet. I am really hoping by next week we will be installing carpet and then its just a matter of moving the bedrooms around and then I can finally start sorting through my baby stuff and see what I have and need. We are definitely going to need to get rid of a LOT of stuff that we no longer will have storage room for. Maybe a garage sale?
Here is the wood laminate flooring, it looks really nice and this huge pile of "crap" is where all my baby stuff is currently... I can't get to it so I REALLY need these rooms done and then we can hopefully get to everything :)

Lady Liberty

A few of my friends in the neighborhood decided to do a "Art Class" this summer with our kids. Something to keep them busy and entertained. This week it was at my house. We made some fireworks artwork and then made Statue of Liberty costumes. I think I will be vacuuming glitter up for months but it was a lot of fun :)

Palisade 2011

Even though I am 8 months pregnant we didn't want to miss our favorite summer tradition of camping at Palisades. Thank goodness for modern trailers with air conditioning. I would not have been as adventurous if we had to sleep in a tent. I leave that for my mom and 81 year old Grandma :) that's another story

Greg is such a GREAT Dad, he loves playing with the girls and they adore him! They played in the canoe taking many rides around the lake (Greg got a good workout). They fished for hours for the tiniest little fish swimming near the shore. And I didnt miss out on all the fun... picture included for proof only please dont' look closely :)

We planned our trip this year so that we could attend the Mormon Miracle Pageant in Manti. The show didn't start until 9:30pm so we spent a lot of time just waiting. The girls were able to meet some cast members. I really enjoyed the show but I think Katie loved it the most... she stayed awake the entire time and I swear she didn't even blink.
