St George getaway

I keep being told that St George has really nice warm weather and that it hardly ever rains!!  I don't believe it! The last 2 times we have  gone it has rained/poured. The girls had a day off school so we decided to go to St George in an attempt to escape the cold snowy weather. There were some moments of warmth and sunshine but not enough to satisfy me... I'll be back!
Greg was working one of the days so me and the girls met some friends (who happen to live on our street but were in St George for the weekend also) at the Dinosaur museum. Brielle and her friend Jacob are in the same Kindergarten class and are currently learning about dinosaurs so it was fun to see some actual tracks and learn about some local dinosaur findings.

Little Liam is so cute! Jessie just loved him. I can't wait till they are old enough to really play... not just sit next to each other on the floor.
Jessie enjoyed her first time at a park... swinging was a hit. Of course there isn't much that this girl doesn't love  :)

5 months- can you believe it?!?!

I can't believe that Jessie is 5 months old already. She has been changing so much lately and is getting so big. I am amazed at how much she is learning and growing! She is so interested in what is around her and loves grabbing at toys/hair/jewlery/books... anything really and it immediately goes into her mouth.  She is learning to sit and is getting so much stronger. She only falls over when she gets really excited and kicks her legs and she kicks herself over backwards. Soon she'll be a pro! She is so happy and smiles all the time, I can't get enough of hearing her squeals and giggles.  She is the perfect baby- I could kiss her little cheeks and just play with her all day, no wonder my house is a mess ;)

Katie was holding her the other night and she fell asleep- I am so impressed at how well the girls do with Jessie. They are little mothers and she just LOVES them
Katie's and her friend Addison had lots of fun dressing her up in this adorable outfit they gave her for Christmas and taking LOTS of pictures,  she enjoyed it - she loves being one of the girls.
Look at these cute dolls- I'll play with the one in the middle

I want my life to be as clean as earth right after ... snow

We woke up this morning to the 1st snowfall of this year and it was fitting that Katie was getting baptized. I think it was perfect- although all those who traveled to come probably didn't think it was ideal.  But I love the fresh snow and how clean and pure it makes everything feel.

Days like today really make life worth it.  I am so proud of Katie and of her decision to get baptized and become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We had such an amazing day spent with lots of family and friends.  I hope that she remembers today and knows how much she is loved.

The baptism was very special. There was only 1 other boy in our stake getting baptized and so it was pretty intimate.  Katie asked her Nana Karma to give the talk on the Holy Ghost and Greg baptized and confirmed her. I am so grateful for a husband who holds the priesthood and I'm so happy for Katie that she got to share that with him.

Happy New Year 2012

Well one more year has come and gone. Its crazy to me that time just seems to be slipping through my fingers. 2011 has been rough to say the least but it has also been amazing. We have made it through together as a family (grown by 1) and we have amazing friends and family with lots of memories made that I will cherish forever.  But I am ready to move on to 2012 and look forward what it brings.

We had a fun New Years Eve at the Paris'. Of course Marty had to do an amazing fireworks show. It was COLD- brrrr!

Megan, Patrick, and the boys (all 4 of them!) came too
This last picture was taken just before midnight and YES this baby was up partying! She did fall asleep for a little while around 8 but then she was up and HAPPY till midnight! She is such a social baby and just couldn't stand that there was a party and she wanted to be a part of it.  Too funny!
