We the Kings

Jen and Marty entered a contest on 107.9 and WON "Play a Wii, with We the Kings".
The band came to their house and did a private concert for us and then played a game of Wii. It was so much fun! If you don't know who We the Kings are, you should listen to some songs on You Tube... they are really good! I took some video with my camera, and if I could figure out how to download them I'll post them on here.

Here are all the guests and the band posing for pictures. Jen and Marty barely got carpet installed in their basement today and we were at their house late last night, touching up paint and getting things ready. It was already scheduled before they found out they won the contest, but it worked out perfectly!
We had been listening to the band on YouTube all day and Brielle was very excited to go. She LOVES music. But when it came to getting a picture she was a little shy =)

HaPPy BirTHdaY pArTY DaY!

Tomorrow is Brielle's Birthday. Crazy that my baby is turning 4!! Although she has acts like she is 16 sometimes =)
We love Brielle so much! She is such a fun girl. Always laughing, singing, joking. She always can make us laugh! She is a great sister and friend and is such a little smarty! I can't wait to see how she will grow up and the things she is capable of doing!

We LOVE YOU BRIELLEE!!!
(she always wants an extra E on her name)
As always Greg did a great job decorating the cake. Brielle wanted a Hannah Montana birthday party. I think it turned out so cute!

Greg painted the girls nails. What a daddy won't do for his girls! No wonder they love him sooo much!
Brielle has some cute friends! Thanks everyone for coming.

Treasure Boxes

A while ago I bought these wood boxes from Roberts and always had "ideas" of making them cute for the girls to store all their childhood memorabilia in them. I started painting Katie's but hated how it was turning out... so I put the project aside. Finally I got some motivation to work on them this week and I think they turned out pretty cute! I just bought some cute paper and Mod Podged them. Now I need to work on the folders that I will put on the inside to keep all the paperwork organized by year...... give me awhile! =)

same time.... same place!

Remember this post... and this post... BEWARE, the pictures may seem repetitive!! Well, as you can see we really like to go to St George when the weather is cold here so that we can spend a few days in the sun! The girls favorite place to go is to hike up around the DIXIE. It really is a nice place to take kids because the hikes are not hard but there are fun things to see and do.
UPDATE ... UPDATE!! Oh wait, I must be confused, because Greg's bug looks EXACTLY like it did in October (click here!). To the trained eye you may see subtle differences, but to me it looks the same... Sorry Greg, maybe some day =)
(according to the guy doing it, in 2 months--- Yeah right!!!)

Happy 80th Birthday Grandma!

My Grandma Arlene is the most amazing woman!
There are so many things I love about my Grandma. When I was younger we would spend the night at Grandma's almost every weekend and we would have so much fun playing with her toys and recording messages on tapes. We were always making crafts and doing projects. I will always be thankful to my grandma for teaching me to serve others. She is the most generous, caring person who would give you the shirt off her back if needs be. We LOVE her and are so happy that she is with us and GOING STRONG!!! She seems so young, I can't believe she is 80! She acts younger than most people half her age, always running around playing with kids. She will always play games with them and keeps herself very active! My kids adore her and love spending time with her. I am thankful that they are building memories with her that they will cherish as much as I have.

Thursday was her 80th Birthday and for months my cousins and I have been planning a surprise party in her honor. It was so much fun to see her just beaming with joy!
We met at the church for dinner and games (bunco of course!) with the immediate family and then extended family and friends were invited to an open house from 7-8:30. We had a good turnout and my Grandma was so surprised when additional people started showing up.
My aunt Peggy coordinated and put together this amazing quilt. We each did a square for our family and then for each great-grandchild. It turned out so cute!

We had all brought displays of things that reminded us of Grandma or things Grandma has made over the years. There was of course lots of block trees, a Mr and Mrs Santa Clause, the Little's dollhouse. We played Bunco which is Grandma's favorite game! and even the boys and kids played. We also did a chipmunk performance which is what we did at every family Christmas party when we were kids. In this photo is Austin, Kenelle, Kaycie, and Kelcie
It was really a fun night and I hope Grandma realizes how much we all LOVE and appreciate her. Happy Birthday Grandma!!! Lots of hugs and kisses!
