An evening with the Kari's

Tonight I got to go to dinner with my good friends Carri and Kari! Kari Ann just got married a month ago and this was the first time I have seen her since then. She looked so happy and I am so happy for her. It really made me remember how great it was to get married (and how great it still is!). It is just funny how infatuated you are in the beginning and can't get enough of each other. Kari couldn't wait to get home to see Mike and I was just thinking "I sure hope the kids are in bed!"- Even though I love my kids and wouldn't change what I have now- its fun to think about and remember what it was like to just be the two of us every second!!

Yahoo!!!!- Disney Land in only 19 days!!!

I just noticed that my countdown for Disneyland is now officially under 20 days!!! I am so excited I can hardly stand it. Holly and Tyler went last week and ever since I have been so anxious to go!
To celebrate I am going to change my music to nothing but Disney toons- hope you don't mind!!!

Sister's night!

Katie has been asking to have a sleepover with Brielle for along time. We decided that tonight we would let the girls stay up and watch a movie that they picked out. We set up the tent in Brielle's room and they watched Maripos (Barbie movie). They had so much fun giggling and eating snacks. It was really funny too listen to them talk and laugh together. I hope that they can be really great friends forever.

I thought they would never fall asleep but then many...many... hours later...

Are you FREAKIN kidding me!!!

I have had the worst spring fever lately and today is making me absolutely go crazy!!!
Yesterday was really nice, we were outside in short-sleeves,
riding our bikes and jumping on the bounce house (I think it was like 60 degrees)-
Today, its snowing outside!

ENOUGH ALREADY!!
This is how we are keeping warm today....
Katie standing in front of the little heater downstairs and
Brielle all snugly in with all the stuffed animals!

I love to see the Temple

We have really been trying to be good about doing FHE, but with 2 little kids its not really that easy. Tonight we decided to talk about temples and then we went and saw the new Temple that is under construction. The kids loved seeing the temple. Katie thought it was going to always be yellow. I don't hardly have any pictures of Greg and I because I am always taking the pictures, so I had Katie take a picture, she did pretty good!!

I LOVE my GRANDMA!!

My Grandma Arlene is the cutest Grandma!! I know you all think you have the cutest one, but I'm sorry to inform you! Yesterday my Grandma invited all of the Granddaughters and any girls in the family etc... to come to her house and sew blankets to give to charity. Her sister is Relief Society president of her ward and they are trying to complete 500 blankets to give to the humanitarian center and they had this easy great way to sew these blankets. The only problem was that for about 10 people that showed up, we only had 2 sewing machines. So unfortunately we didn't get as many done as we could have. We had so much fun though. All the kids just played while we visited and sewed blankets.

Missing Pieces

Greg and I have made a goal to spend more quality time together. We tend to get into a habit of just watching too much TV at night and so I asked him to bring home a puzzle from work that we could put together. He has these James Christensen puzzles that are 1500 pieces and we have put them together over holidays before. But this puzzle we started on Tuesday night and finished last night FINALLY!! I become completely obsessed and can barely get anything else done when it is just sitting on my table. So last night we thought we were all finished and realized that a PIECE IS MISSING!!!! That is the most frustrating thing, I'm sure the kids have probably walked away with it and I'll more than likely vacuum it up without even noticing. Oh well I still think its a pretty good accomplishment and Greg and I had a lot of laughs putting it together!!!

Sisters by Chance, Friends by Choice!

I took the girls to Target last Friday to get pictures! They turned out so cute. The girls did such a great job posing for the pictures. I love now that they are getting a little older and we can capture cute pictures!

Families are meant to be together FOREVER!!

We had the best weekend with our great friends the Paris'. On Saturday we went to the temple with them to see them sealed to cute little Carter. I am so grateful to be a part of such an amazing gospel that makes it possible for our families to be together forever. I find great comfort to know that my children are sealed to Greg and I, and I am soooo happy for Jen and Marty (and Addison and Carter too!).

Sunday they blessed Carter and he of course didnt cooperate like a little baby would. But Marty did a fabulous job and I really felt the spirit strongly that he is exactly where Heavenly Father wants him to be!!

The gospel is TRUE! I feel more inspired to live it more fully everyday!

What did you do today??

Sometimes I feel like my life is dominated by laundry. How do 4 people go through so much laundry??? It is my least favorite thing to do so I admit I let it stack up. But even when I get it all done, there is more!! It just never ends!!!!!
I want to have someone come do my laundry for me like on John and Kate plus 8 (my new favorite show). I wouldnt mind washing all the laundry if I could have someone just fold and put away... any volunteers???

I just thought this picture was funny of Brielle! Sometimes she is so silly!!!

My sweet adorable loving Greg!

I'm feeling grief about my previous post so to make things hopefully a little better let me tell you what I absolutely LOVE about Greg! (in no particular order)

  • He is the best daddy. He is great with the girls and even though he grew up in a family of all boys, the girls stuff doesnt bother him a bit! The girls are so excited when Daddy comes home so that they can play with him. They love chasing him, wrestling him, hugging and kissing him. I love to see how loving he is with them!! Its a great feeling to see that relationship that they have because I missed having that with my own dad
  • He is a great husband and best friend. He is very affectionate and considerate. He is very patient with me and teaches me to be less high strung about things. He is so laid back which is a great thing for me. He makes me a better person by encouraging me to do great things.
  • He honors his priesthood and is a great example to me. He will always run to give anyone blessings or help. He provides the priesthood in our home which is a comfort to me!!
  • He is VERY handy!!! Even though I poked fun of the many projects he hasn't finished. He has done many many things!!!
  • He is VERY creative and loves to draw up all of his ideas and dream about fun things to build and do. He has built the coolest castle play room for the kids in our basement which we love! He designed and built our awsome deck. He built or contracted out our entire house when we built it 5 years ago.
So... I LOVE YOU SWEETIE!!!

Unfinished Projects!

I married a "project" man. Now when I say projects, he is definetly an architect(dreamer) of projects and starter of many projects but there is much to be finished!!!!! Here is a quick update of all the honey do's my sweet Greg must FINISH before he even dreams of starting any outside projects for the summer!!! I hope he reads this....

#1 About 3 months ago Greg tore out my shower floor and said "I will have this finished in 2 weeks!" well as you can see it hasn't progressed very far!! I think for the 5 years that we have lived in this house, we have showered in the hall shower about 4 years of that (before this last time we stopped showering in it for a while because of the grout cracking out!)

#2 Both my fireplace legs and my stair railing have never been stained!

#3 This is my biggest area of grief!! This is the end of my island that faces the front door! When we built the house Greg had plans of having someone?? build us some bean drawers (glass front) to go here. Remember, we have lived in this house for 5 years! Would this drive anyone else crazy???

I love my husband and I have to give him somewhat of the benefit of the doubt... he really is a hard worker and does great things!! He built an amazing deck(still partially unfinished!) And has been working extremely hard on the basement. He has done all the framing, electrical, Heating.... and we are almost ready for sheetrock. My only fear is that as soon as the weather is nice, he will again leave lots of projects unfinished and I might just go crazy!!!

Oh yes and don't let me forget the project that my husband would say is the most important and he wishes he could be working on all the time!! The heap of bug parts in my garage that Greg tells me will someday be a car! We'll see =)

LOVE YOU SWEETIE, NOW GET TO WORK!!! hehe
