2nd grade fieldtrip: Hogle Zoo

Greg rode up to the Zoo on the bus with Katie and her class and then the rest of us met them there. We had a lot of fun with our little group (minus 1 little boy peeing his pants- Yikes!) I did ask them numerous times if anyone had to use the bathroom.  It was a beautiful day, perfect zoo weather! A huge portion of the zoo is under construction and the new exhibits open on June 1st- so we easily got to see everything there in a short time.

We met up with Katie's cute little friends Kylie and Macady at lunch.
We wore out the baby! She loved the animals and just watched them with amazement.
Then after the buses took the kids back to school. Me and the girls stayed a little longer with our friends the Hyte's and enjoyed the fewer crowds.

Spring

I love spring! (I hate allergies!) My yard always looks the prettiest in spring. All my favorite flowers are in bloom (my peonies) and new flowers have just been planted that I haven't had time to kill yet.

Happy Mothers Day ♥

I am so blessed to have the opportunity to be these cute girls mom! Being a Mom is hard work, sometimes I feel less than adequate to raise them.  I fear that I am not doing enough, but then I worry that I may do to much... but it is rewarding and I am so grateful for what they teach me and the memories that we create every day. When I look at my cute girls and see that they are happy, sweet kids I know its all worth it! And I never imagined that I could possibly love anyone as much as I LOVE each of them! They all have their own personalities that make them so unique and special.
(Katie wasn't sure this jaw-breaker was going to fit and once she got it in her mouth it kindof freaked her out!) Jessie is just cute as always, and the best baby. I can't imagine my life without that smile!
We got to spend the day with some of the great Mom's in my life.
My mother-in law, me, my Mom, Holly, and Julie- Happy Mothers Day!

Up with Kids Musical Theatre Academy: Rapunzel

Last year Katie and Brielle starred in the production of Alice in Wonderland.  This year Brielle did not want to do do it again but Katie has been practicing all year to star in Rapunzel. She did such an amazing job and even earned an Academy Award for her performance. I am so proud of her!!!
All the cousins came to support her- ♥ them all
And of course she was thrilled to be in the same class as Addison this year. Cute girls!

In the first scene Katie was a princess at Rapunzel's birthday party. She participated in the princess pageant and sang the birthday song "this little light of mine" with a few other girls while all the princesses danced.
The second scene she was in she was a viking at the Snuggly Duckling. This picture is her mean viking face- so cute!  She had some speaking lines, and she did such an amazing job with all her lines. I am so proud of her!
The finale: such a GREAT show!

Slow down!!!

I can't believe how fast this little girl is growing right before my eyes! She is just 8 months and is already showing signs of early walking. She cruises around the furniture and now she is walking behind her push toys.  Before I know it she is going to be walking and talking and driving! Oh my!  I wish I could freeze time and enjoy her being little for a while.  I look forward to each  milestone and new phase but at the same time I feel a loss for things I can't get back, and at this point it looks like she will be our last baby. It is just going too fast!

Life is good!

I get to look at all these cute faces all day- Life is good!

Little Monkeys

After a week of having a half cast/splint Brielle got her hard cast! It is so much better because I don't have to worry so much about her injuring her arm being so crazy... However, now she thinks she is indestructible! I just hope we make it for the next 4 weeks without breaking the other arm, or a leg. The girls new favorite thing to do is climb the trees in our front yard.  I'm hoping we don't have any more emergency room visits this summer for either girl (cross your fingers!)
