So big!!

Jessica is now able to balance herself without holding on to things. She will only do it for a few seconds and then she slower lowers herself to the floor. Its only a matter of time now before she is walking!! Crazy!

Schools out for summer!!!

 Today was the last day of school! I can't believe that I now have a 1st & 3rd grader.  Brielle actually finished yesterday and I forgot to bring my camera to the school when I picked her up but I did get some pictures of Katie with some of her best friends from this year.

 I printed out some pictures of the girls from their first day of school- crazy how much they have grown this year! I am so excited for this summer. I hope we have lots of fun and just get to be together as a family A LOT- I miss these sweet kids!

Brielle's last day of school was today and Katie's is tomorrow.... 

we are almost officially on summer vacation!

Brielle finally got her cast off!!!

They sent us to get more x-ray's and everything is healing just GREAT! 

I sure hope that she stays cast free for the rest of the summer her life;)

and the Paris' got internet!! The girls have been on skype almost every night. Its so nice to see them "together" again! Thank goodness for modern technology.

Coyote Pride

Both Katie and Brielle earned their Coyote Pride awards this year.  

To earn the award they have to pass off certain things for each grade. 

For example in Kindergarten they have to be able to tie their shoe, know there address and phone #, recognize all the letters and sounds etc... 

In 2nd grade they have to read a list of 200 words in 3 minutes, skip count by 2,3,5, count money etc...

I am so proud of both girls for their accomplishments this year- its been a success!  

the day to day...

Nothing exciting has really been happening around here but the day to day things.  Thought I would share some of my favorite moments I captured this week.  We are looking forward to next week. Brielle is getting her cast off on Tuesday and the girls last day of school is on Friday! YAY for summer!!!

Oh ya, and then there was this... someone got 2 new teeth. Its been a joy! 

Paris Fam in San Fran

Exactly 9 years ago we met the Paris'. They moved in 2 doors away and when Jen knocked on my door and invited me to bunco, we quickly became great friends.  They had a cute little 9 mo old baby Addison, and 6 months later I had Katie. Her and Addison were best friends from day 1.  Jen taught me so much about being a Mom and helped watch Katie while I went back to work part-time.  We watched every episode of 24, Lost, and Heroes together. We planned a large portion of our summer vacations together and have been on many camping trips and Disneyland vacations together. Our kids are more like siblings then friends and I love her kids nearly as much as if they were mine. Jen is my best friend, she is a great friend to everyone, in fact I think many people would say the same thing about her.  We were so devastated when they told us that Marty was taking a job in California and that they would be leaving but I never imagined how difficult it would be to see them go!  

 

Music and The Spoken Word

We took the activity day girls to temple square this morning and watched the live broadcast of Music and The Spoken Word. It was a perfect beautiful day - I just wish we could have walked around temple square a little more.
