Disneyland Day 3: Mickey's Halloween Party

We only had 2 days in Disneyland but we decided to stay an extra day and attend Mickey's Halloween Party which was AWESOME!! We are so glad we did it. We got into the park at 3:00 and it was open until 11:00. The weather threatened to be crappy but it cleared up and the crowds were minimal. We walked onto pretty much every ride and got TONS and TONS of candy!! The characters were out and it was just a perfect end to our FUN FUN FUN trip!!
Katie lost her tooth while we were in line for a ride... she wanted to lose it so badly in Disneyland and YAY, it finally came out!! She was so excited to show tinkerbell (who is good friends with the tooth fairy you know!)

Big Thunder Mountain was the favorite ride! We rode it like 10 times in a row!
It rained for a little while but we stayed dry :)
There were really cool carved pumpkins

We saw Minnie and Mickey but my camera was being weird... o well- we love them!
We played hard and we are really tired, but we'll be back soon!!!

Disneyland Day 2

HAPPY BIRTRHDAY to Greg!!! We got to be in Disneyland for Greg's birthday! I found him a button that said "Today's my Birthday" so everyone wished him a happy birthday all day!

We started out the day in Disneyland for a few hours because it opened before California Adventure. We rode a few rides and played in the rain :)

Then we went to California Adventure and spent the day there.

We LOVED Tower of Terror and rode it 4 times! The girls were scared but they were so brave and they didnt complain about riding it again, although seeing the pictures taken on the ride made me laugh (look at all the kids except Addison, they look horrified!)

We rode the Screaming California rollercoaster and then went back to Disneyland one more time to ride Space Mountain (Greg in this picture cracks me up! he swears he didnt close his eyes the entire ride... yay right!)

Disneyland Day 1

We had the BEST time ever at Disneyland!!! We decided that since we were in Vegas and its only a few more hours to Disneyland it was the perfect time to go! I'm so glad that we did.... the weather was a tiny bit cool (60-70) and it rained just a little but the crowds weren't bad and I would prefer this weather over the 115 it was there last week :)

We saw lots of princesses.....

We saw lots of characters....
And we rode LOTS of rides... it was so fun this year because both girls were tall enough to ride just about everything! YAY! We went with our friends the Paris' and it was so much fun , the girls LOVED having friends to ride on all the rides with. Carter was even "barely" tall enough to ride everything so we ALL were able to go on the rides.

Vegas- VW Bug show

We did our annual trip to Vegas for the VW bug show. Its basically an "all about Greg" trip because we just walk around in the sweltering heat while he looks at car after car after car... I did see one car that I REALLY liked... Karmann Ghia pictured above... beautiful car! i WANT it!
Unfortunately Greg's bug was not finished for this years show. The guy restoring it said he would have it done but its taken over a year and a half and its still not ready! Poor Greg is a little sad about it but they guy says just 1 more month....... we'll see :) Its pretty much ready to paint and the interior is done (looks awesome!!)... so definetly some progress!

Happy BirTHdAy to ME!

When you get older, birthdays aren't that big of a deal but I did have to turn 34 at some point :)
We went out to dinner with my Mom and Grandma and then came back to our house for cake and icecream! Greg also gave me some amazing sun flowers that had been died with red die and turned bright orange and purple

CH14th Ward Relief Society Retreat

We had an awesome retreat last night with about 40 RS sisters in my ward. We went to Jen Luker's family cabin which is so amazing. As you might expect we stayed up till the wee hours of the morning and didnt get any sleep but it was so much fun. So while we filled our buckets with lots of talking, crafting, and being spiritually fed.... I am now officially too tired to carry it!!!

Goodnight!

Silver Lake Hike

Saturday was such a BEAUTIFUL day so we decided to go for a hike. We had never been up to Silver Lake near Brighton... if youhaven't either you should go!
But just a bit of advice: The "walk" around silver lake is really easy (you could even push a stroller) but if you decide for a little more a challenge and the sign for Twin Lake says "1 mile" and you think "we can do that!!" just be prepared for 1 mile straight uphill with lots of rocks. We did finally make it but our "little hike" turned into a 3 hour hike- but we conquered and the view was worth every second of it :)
