Saturday was such a BEAUTIFUL day so we decided to go for a hike. We had never been up to Silver Lake near Brighton... if youhaven't either you should go!
But just a bit of advice: The "walk" around silver lake is really easy (you could even push a stroller) but if you decide for a little more a challenge and the sign for Twin Lake says "1 mile" and you think "we can do that!!" just be prepared for 1 mile straight uphill with lots of rocks. We did finally make it but our "little hike" turned into a 3 hour hike- but we conquered and the view was worth every second of it :)

Andy and Leslie went hiking up there labor day weekend. They said the same things you did. They had been before but had forgotten what a great place it is for a hike!
