A fresh start

I love Womens Conference!  Just one day there and I already am feeling much much better! I knew it was just what I needed. Messages meant for women (ME).  I LOVE being a member of this church.  I have lots of ideas on how to improve my life, my home, and my relationships.

Looking forward to tomorrow and what it brings :)

I'm tired!!!

My life in recent months...

diagnosed with Melanoma skin cancer- check
Katie gets concussion while playing at school- check
surgery to remove cancer as well as many other biopsies- check
best friend informs me she is moving- check
Fraudster in Japan steals gold coin- check
Greg nearly cuts finger off and has to go to emergency room- check
8 month old decides to stop sleeping at night and is up every 2 hours- check
Brielle breaks her elbow- check

I'm tired!

(I'm just realizing that Jessie is the only one who has not had a medical emergency in the last 6 months... please oh please lets keep it that way!)

Things have got to get better right? I am really looking forward to Women's Conference. Spending time just focusing on myself and having a GREAT time with friends- bring it on!

Family Miracles...

These 2 adorable boys are my nephews. My sister Amy who lives in Texas has struggled with infertility for many years and 1 year ago she started to do Foster to Adopt.  She has several amazing little kids that were sent back to their parents after a few short days. But then in March of last year she was called to pick up a 4 day old baby at the hospital. Brian (the little one on the right) was brought home. He was so tiny and they feared he would have FAS(fetal alcohol syndrom) but he has done absolutely amazing and is so dang cute!  Then just a 2 weeks later she was called about another little boy who was 7 months old- little Colton. They then had an instant family of 2 little boys- CRAZY!!!
The last year has been filled with excitement and worry for the boys welfare. Many many times we were afraid they would be returned to the parents or others. My sister and all of us have grown to love these boys and we recently received the best news ever---

Both boys are going to be adopted by my sister and her husband. We are so excited for them! I am really happy for my sister, this is something she has wanted for a long time. The boys are so lucky to have 2 loving parents and a home that will hopefully provide for them a good chance to live happy, successful, productive lives.

Congrats and Amy and Michael (and Brian and Colton too!)  We LOVE you!

NEVER a dull moment!

We met some friends at the park for lunch today and ended up at the Dr's getting x-rays for a broken elbow! Leave it to Brielle :) Little stinker was climbing on top of the playhouses at Sky Park and slid off onto her arm.  There is never a dull moment around here!

Jessica's cry

I have been trying for a while now to capture Jessica's cry on video because it so funny. She started doing this rolling thing with her tongue a few months ago but she's generally such a happy baby that the only time I would hear it would be at 3am- not so funny!
She has however become uncooperative when her diaper needs to be changed and gets very mad that she can't crawl away. So I took this opportunity to video her. I LOVE it and I try not to laugh but it does make me giggle when she gets so mad.

Spring is in the air

The weather has been so nice this weekend. We spent some time outside enjoying the spring flowers and the new City Creek mall downtown. It is amazing! I can't believe what a change to downtown this has made, it doesnt even seem like the same old place.  I will definitely be back ♥

Spring Break

We spent the weekend in St George visiting Greg's brother Ryan and his family in their beautiful new house. We spent a lot of time at parks and just relaxing. We had a GREAT time-
Thanks Ryan and Lolly for having us :)

The Easter Bunny found us and left fun treats for everyone (except the dogs- sorry Shelby!)

We forgot to bring our swimsuits but that didnt stop us from getting wet and cooling off.

and this is what happens when you leave a 6 year old alone for a few minutes... they decide its a good idea to play in the sand (volleyball court) after getting wet (did she think we were at the beach?)
