Today we went swimming at Greg's moms and found a new friend. As we were swimming some of the kids noticed a little baby duck that was all alone. There was no mother or other ducks around. Greg was just saying the other day that he really wanted a duck so I guess it was fate! Greg likes to raise poor little abandoned animals. When we were first married a little bird fell out of its nest by our door and Greg fed it and nursed it (after a little persuasion from me!) until it was a healthy grown bird and that bird loved Greg!! It would follow him around the apartment chirping. We finally had to let it go at a local park and for weeks until winter came the bird would fly down out of the trees when we came to visit and land on Greg's shoulder and follow us down the park trails. People would laugh and wonder how in the heck we were getting this bird to follow us!
So here we go again!!! Katie says its name is "Melody Jumper" because it likes to jump a lot. We'll keep you updated on the progress until one of our neighbors complains and the duck ends up at a park somewhere! Or it gets eaten by Hunter!

Your Dad used to have ducks. He had a Mommy duck that layed eggs and hatched them out. When they were about that size they got through the fence and the neighbor dog had lunch so beware. Up until that point they sure were fun to have. They eat lots of bugs. Katie picked a cute name.
that is SO funny!! We can't wait to meet her (him, it, whatever). And I'll try not to complain this time! :) Looks like the pool was fun!
hi, it's me again...so how do you do 4 small pictures like that? I keep meaning to ask you. Mine are always just one on top of the other instead of side by side...
You import them small and then just arrange them next to each other in the comments field. I had to widen the main area too! I could probably just come show you that might be easier!
I love ducks!! When we were little mom used to hatch eggs in her science classroom and bring them home. My favorite was named Howard.
