The day has finally come!

(5 years old)
Well its official. My baby is growing up!! It seems like just yesterday that we brought her home from the hospital, she was just teeny tiny. Now she is so big and going to kindergarten. I was afraid that it would be hard to get her up this morning but she came out on her own all dressed and ready. I think she was just a tad bit excited. Last night we braided her hair so it would be curly and dad gave her a great blessing. I am so grateful that I know that heavenly father has an interest in my children and will watch and protect them when I can't be there. I hope and pray that Katie will love school and have good friends and love her teacher. She is such a sweet, caring, sensitive girl. She is such a joy to be with and I will miss her so much when she is at school. Luckily she is home in just a few hours.

Miss Warner, Katie's teacher. Katie just loves her and has since the moment she met her. I am starting to see why, she is just so genuine and sweet. I am excited for a GREAT year!
Abbie Hall, Katie, and Rachel Hyte. Her friends from preschool (well actually since they were like 1 year old). I am so glad she has some friends that she already knows in her class. They were all so excited to be together and held hands going into the school. So cute!
Brielle was really sad when Katie went into the school. She gave me a big squeeze and said "I want sissy" I almost cried but I didnt! YAY me... so far so good!

Lined up and ready to go into school
Last night with the girls hair all braided

See...you did much better than I did! I still cried this year! Katie looked so cute and very excited! I'm glad that she liked her class. She will do great! I think the hardest part is trusting someone else with your children because you know no one loves them and knows them like you do! But, that is what life is all about...teaching them and letting them grow up and have their own experiences :)
