Family Matters

I have the cutest best Grandma in the entire world. She has been such a huge part of my life since I was in high school when she moved in with our family. Since I've been married and had kids I see her almost every Friday. I have LOVED this time to be with her and would do almost anything for her. Which brings me to the last 4 days.

My Grandma has been planning a huge family reunion with her cousins for months and months with her sisters. It is all she talks about and she has been so excited for it. So on Friday we had the Frint Family reunion which is my Grandma and her siblings (Marla,Shirley,DeAnn, and Ramon) and families. We went to the park by DeAnn's house. Grandma loves to play with the kids and is always making sure the kids have things to do. She loaded up my moms SUV with tons of toys, bikes, etc... and then she played the games with them. She's almost 80- it's amazing that she is still so active.

Katie and KenelleYummy food! My cousin Tiffany taking more than her share (she said she was sharing... yeah right!)The kids playing at the park..

Then on Saturday was my Grandmas big "Cousin Reunion" that she has been planning with her sisters for months. She has been so excited and obsessed with the reunion planning and preperation. And it all paid off. She had me come to video tape the families so they can make a DVD for all the cousins. Our family is a little mixed up because my great-great-grandpa was polygamist who married sisters. Then he had twins (who one of them was my great-grandma). It gets confusing. But I think I sortof get it a better now that I had a chance to actually meet some of the family.

We tried to re-create the same picture that was taken of the family in 1946
My great-grandma Nora and her twin Dora both had red hair and so my cousins twin daughters wore read wigs and both red poems that Nora and Dora had written. One about having red hair and one about being a twin. It was cute. Good job Kaycie and Kelcie.

Then on Sunday my cousin Randy had a birthday party for his son Riley and so we went there and had cake and ice-cream. And then on Monday we went to say goodbye to my cousin's daughter Taylor who is going to college in a few days (crazy!!!). So we had a fun filled 4 days with family and my Grandma loved every bit of.. Family matters most to her and that's what I love about her!

That is so cute and very neat! Just out of curiosity...what is on your cousin's big plate of food???? It's sort of driving me nuts that I can't figure it out!
